North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 198-bed general acute care facility that offers private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, and a range of medical and oncology services. The Behavioral Health Unit provides specialized care for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Program SummaryThe Program Director oversees strategic planning, operations, and policy enforcement to deliver high-quality, cost-effective behavioral health services. Key responsibilities include managing budgeting, supervising staff, guiding short- and long-term program development, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of behavioral health unit operations, including staffing, care delivery, and facility maintenance.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and marketing efforts to support program growth.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Act as a liaison between hospital leadership, divisional teams, and unit staff to maintain collaboration.
- Lead change initiatives, evaluate leadership performance, and promote a positive work environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Qualified by education and experience in the care of behavioral health patients.
- Licensed Master’s level clinician required.
- Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling preferred.
- Three years of leadership experience preferred.
