Northern Gear & Machining is hiring a CNC Lathe Set-up Machinist
- Nakamura Twin Spindle Bar Fed to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. This position will be responsible for efficient and timely set-ups.
The ideal candidate would have but is not limited to experience with the following:
- Perform all operations to set up equipment, fixtures, and CNC Lathe Machines.
- Knowledge of CNC Lathe Multi Axis Twin Turret Setup Required
- Knowledge of Takamaz CNC Lathe Setups
- Ability to do multiple set-ups in a shift.
- Responsible for the selection for tooling.
- Instruct operators on procedures and methods.
- Diagnose troubles and make adjustments.
- Work from drawings, specifications.
- Use a variety of precision measuring devices
- Inspections of machined products including documentation of results.
- Complete all required job performance sheets.
- Complete all 1st piece inspection requirements. Adhere to all Quality requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
- Follows all safety procedures and policies.
- Able to assist other operators.
- Willing to run machines when set-ups are complete.
- Have their own tools.
