As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will provide frontline leadership for all production activities, ensuring that daily output goals, safety standards, and operational KPIs are consistently achieved. You will drive team performance by managing workflows, optimizing run rates, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and food safety excellence.
Responsibilities- Direct daily production workflows and adjust staffing assignments to meet volume requirements and operational targets.
- Troubleshoot equipment, process, and material issues to ensure consistent run rates and minimize downtime.
- Lead, coach, and develop production staff by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing performance feedback.
- Maintain an audit-ready environment by strictly enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation protocols, and safety standards.
- Ensure the accuracy of all production documentation, including batch records, quality checks, and electronic ERP entries.
- Monitor waste, yield performance, and material usage, implementing corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
- Partner with quality and maintenance teams to address process deviations and support continuous improvement initiatives like 5S.
- 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a strong preference for snack or high-speed processing environments.
- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead teams and hold staff accountable.
- Strong understanding of food safety systems, GMPs, and audit compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, production reporting, and inventory control.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success in training and developing operational leads and technicians.
- Experience with root cause problem-solving and standard work implementation.
