Full Time, Position Summary/Objective:

Responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to support manufacturing operations. Programs and verifies machining processes for 2-D, 3-D, and multi-axis machining centers using CAD/CAM software. Supports operators by preparing set-up sheets and ensuring best practices in machining technologies.

• Program offline for 2-D, 3-D, and 3/4/5-axis machines using Master Cam, NX, and Vericut.
• Collaborate with CNC operators to ensure program accuracy and usability.
• Implement the latest machining technologies and programming practices.
• Create and maintain accurate set-up sheets for machining operations.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 10 years CNC programming experience.
• Experience with NX, Master Cam X5 and Vericut software.
• Experience working with 3-D models (UG).
• Experience programming 2-D, 3-D, and 3/4/5-axis machines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

• Prolonged sitting or standing at computer workstations and CNC programming stations.
• Frequent use of computers, CAD/CAM software, and input devices requiring repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Regular talking and hearing for communication with engineers, machinists, and operators.

• Occasionally required to lift and move tooling, parts, or equipment up to 30 pounds.
• Walking and standing in shop areas, occasional bending or reaching to access equipment and parts.

• Work performed in both office and shop environments with exposure to moderate noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Appropriate PPE is provided and required according to company policy when in shop areas.

All union shop employees must complete and be able to perform the Anderson Global Essential Function Test (All Shop Employees), which evaluates functional fitness for typical shop tasks, including:

• Lifting and carrying of patterns/tools and miscellaneous items up to 25 lbs (various ranges).
• Pushing/pulling forces (e.g., hoists ~100 lbs force; skids ~35 lbs; tooling ~100 lbs).
• Reaching (over-shoulder, overhead, below knees, and forward-extended) for short durations.
• Gripping/pinching benchmarks (gross grasp ~65 lbs; hook grasp ~65 lbs; tripod pinch ~15 lbs; 2-point pinch ~5 lbs).
• Postural tasks including standing, walking, kneeling/stooping, horizontal abduction, and stair navigation.
