* Key Responsibilities:
*** Provides routine and more complex accounting services for clients, which include more complex organizations. + Reconciles client bank account statements. + Prepares journal entries, with only limited supervision. + Updates depreciation and amortization schedules for loans, purchases, and disposals of equipment. + Prepares compiled financial statements. + Prepares client-specific reports.
* Provides accounts payable services for clients. + Enters bills into accounting system. + Process bills for payment, preparing checks for signature and distribution.
* Provides payroll support to clients using appropriate software program. + Inputs payroll change information (new employees, deductions, etc.) into payroll program. + Collects timesheets and keys in hours worked information. + Prepares paychecks for signature and distribution.
* Interacts with clients on a more general basis. + Possesses basic knowledge of the client and its industry. + Builds business relationships with staff at peer level. + Identifies problems that arise during work and proposes solutions.
* Additional Responsibilities + Able to prioritize work and manage time; uses unassigned time to assist practice. + Ability to adhere to project budgets, timelines, and clients’ expectations. + Demonstrates pattern of positive interactions with other associates. + Demonstrates professional image, maturity, self-confidence, and positive attitudes. + Demonstrates ethical behavior in accordance with professional standards. + Has an acceptable coverage ratio.
** Your Desired Experiences, Education &
Skills:
*** Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel sufficient to prepare correspondence and prepare reports and financial statements.
* Possesses a thorough grounding in bookkeeping practices.
* Is able to complete and enter non-routine journal entries/transactions with only limited direction and assistance.
* Is proficient in the use of appropriate accounting software programs.
* Is proficient in the use of appropriate payroll software programs.
* Ability to produce and understand basic financial statements to the degree that unreasonable errors could be identified.
* Articulate in speech; communicates in a clear, fact-based manner.
* Effective writer.
* Asks concise, targeted questions in order to fulfill objectives and task completion.
* Ensures other associates, supervisors, and clients are informed of progress and significant project developments.
* Demonstrates ability to handle client communications in a discrete and confidential manner.
