Position Summary

We are seeking a Furniture Designer to translate customer and market needs into innovative furniture solutions. This role leverages Bold Furniture's design and manufacturing capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop functional, manufacturable, and aesthetically appealing products.

What You'll Do
  • Design custom furniture and casegoods that bring customer ideas to life.
  • Create renderings and visual concepts to communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, engineering, and production teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Guide projects from concept through customer approval and quoting.
  • Select materials, finishes, and components that balance design, quality, and cost.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and feasibility.
  • Stay current on furniture trends, materials, and industry innovations.
What We Are Looking For
  • Degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent combination of education and practical design experience.
  • Experience designing furniture, casegoods, millwork, or related products for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, or workplace environments.
  • Ability to translate customer needs, sketches, and concepts into manufacturable furniture solutions.
  • Strong understanding of furniture construction methods, materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency creating renderings, design concepts, and technical documentation to communicate design intent.
  • Knowledge of balancing aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and cost throughout the design process.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions for unique customer requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers, sales, engineering, and production teams.
