TermsThis position is a 225 total paid days position offering full family medical, dental, and vision benefits. Dental, vision, and life insurance are paid by the district at no cost to the employee. Personal business days, holidays and sick time paid. Retirement through the Office of Retirement Services (Pension Plus or Defined Contribution).
Salary RangeThis position is on the salary, nonunion, Grade V2 Scale, $84,749.86-$ per year.
General Job FunctionThe Supervisor of Wesley serves as the primary day‑to‑day administrator for our program for students with complex needs. This role prioritizes high building‑level visibility, specialized instructional support (including assistive technology), coordination with medical/ancillary staff, and ensuring the smooth, safe daily operations of programs serving students with intensive physical, medical, behavioral and cognitive needs. This role works in direct coordination with the Campus Director who supports instructional alignment, staff supervision, operational coordination and compliance.
EssentialJob Functions
- Oversees day‑to‑day building routines, student schedules, transitions, and flexible staffing/substitute coverage.
- Oversees student health and specialized care plans; directly coordinates with building nurses, instructional aides, and specialized therapists.
- Provides targeted support to teachers regarding specialized instructional strategies, assistive technology implementation, project‑based learning and student progress monitoring.
- Leads the implementation of PBSPs, trauma‑informed care, and PBIS; supports teachers with classroom management and differentiated instructional strategies.
- Provides day‑to‑day supervision, feedback, and evaluations for assigned certified staff, related service providers and instructional assistants.
- Monitors building‑level IEP and PBSP implementation fidelity; participates directly in compliance under IDEA.
- Functions as the primary administrator for standard building IEP meetings following an initial observation, training, and gradual release period with the Campus Director.
- Acts as the primary administrator for daily behavioral needs, coordinating closely with the Campus Director on removals.
- Supports building staff wellness and handles initial or minor staff performance and conduct issues.
- Serves as the first point of contact for parents regarding daily routines and behavioral needs; coordinates with mental health providers and external agencies at the student level.
- Collaborates regularly with the Campus Director to align building goals with the overarching pre‑K–12 campus vision, reporting on complex student needs and program improvements.
- Performs additional tasks and assumes responsibilities as directed by the Campus Director and/or Director of Special Education Programs and Accountability.
- No physical or mental restrictions that would, with reasonable accommodation, prevent performance of the essential job functions and responsibilities.
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree or better with certification in special education or related special education licensure such as school social worker, psychologist or speech and language pathologist.
- Professional certification for special education Supervisor/Director or eligibility for temporary approval.
- Successful professional experience serving students with severe multiple impairments, low‑incidence disabilities, or complex medical needs.
- Proven knowledge of Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), progress monitoring, and adaptive/assistive technology strategies.
- Strong collaborative skills to coordinate effectively with nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech‑language pathologists.
