7th/8th Grade Math Teacher

Reeths-Puffer Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will teach 7th/8th grade mathematics, create an engaging learning environment, and support the academic and social-emotional growth of middle school students. Candidates should possess strong instructional practices, effective classroom management skills, and a passion for helping students develop confidence and success in mathematics.

• Must possess State of Michigan 6-12 Math Certification (EX)

• Demonstration of a strong knowledge of subject area being taught
• Planning for and delivery of rigorous content
• Checking for and building of higher-level understanding in students
• Recognition of the diverse needs among students and commitment to differentiation in instructional approach in order to meet the needs of all students
• Maintenance of exceptional classroom management
• Efficient and effective use of instructional time
• Solicitation of high student engagement
• Establishment and maintenance of strong, appropriate relationships with students
