PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for implementing and overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs within the Club and at times outside of the Club, such as Education, Technology, Character and Leadership Development, Social Recreation, Health and Life skills, Art, Career Development, and Physical Education. Plan, develop, and lead programs with youth.

KEY

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare Youth for Success

  • Plan and oversee the administration of designated Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.

  • Oversee Program Coordinators staffing and scheduling for designated program space

  • Establish Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.

  • Oversee the day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.

  • Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction to develop skills in program areas.

  • Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.

Program Development and Implementation
  • Discuss all supply/equipment purchases needed for programs with and submit purchase requests to area club director to purchase within approved budget.

  • Submit written lesson plans with objectives for each day, turned in on schedule requested by Club Director.

  • Communicate with external community groups, school staff, teachers, principals, members’ parents, Club Director, and Director of Ops through phone, text, Workplace and emails.

  • Collect data and prepare regular reports as needed for programs, funding sources and others projects.

Supervision
  • Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any programs/issues.

  • Ensure productive and effective performance of Program Coordinators

  • Ensure compliance with grants and safety policies

Additional Responsibilities
  • May oversee special programs and/or events (i.e. Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participate in the implementation of other Club activities as necessary.

  • Consult with parents concerning member and Club issues.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Relationships
  • Internal:
    Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, and advise/counsel.

  • External:
    Maintains contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems, as directed by the Club Director.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

REQUIRED:
  • Strong written and Verbal communication skills

  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.

  • Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.

  • Education and Training must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

    • Associate’s Degree or higher in early childhood education or related field of study

    • Valid Montessori credential with 480 hours experience

    • Valid child development associate credential with 480 experience

    • (High school diploma or GED with (f) High school diploma or GED with (g) High school diploma or GED with Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a Child-Related Field Hours of

    • 12 semester hours, 18 CEUs, or a combination to equal 180 clock hours with 1,920 hours 6 semester hours, 9 CEUs, or a combination to equal 90 clock hours with 3,840 hou rs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /WORK ENVIRONMENT/

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to squat or bend to communicate at youths’ level.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds for short periods of time.

  • Must be able to participate in physical activities throughout the facility, on the property and/or on field trips.

  • Must have a clear comprehensive background check
