RequirementsMaster’s Degree or alternative pathway to school counseling credentials OR a School Guidance Counselor License issued by the Michigan Department of Education
Any of the following- Michigan Teaching Certificate with the School Counselor (NT) endorsement
- Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL)
- Preliminary School Counselor License (PSCL)
- School Counselor License (SCL)
Ability to work cooperatively with multi-disciplinary teams in situations requiring a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative.
Secondary (middle and high school) experience.
Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of diversity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary/BenefitsCommensurate with credentials and level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Full-time with benefit package. Starting range $53,887-$78,454.
