SAF-Holland is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to lead full-cycle product development projects that shape the future of our industry-leading solutions. In this role, you’ll guide cross-functional teams, deliver high-performance designs, and elevate products that support our commitment to quality, safety, and market leadership.

This role is part of our industry‑leading Suspension Engineering Team
, where you’ll play a key part in advancing the next generation of heavy‑duty and automotive suspension systems.

Experience with
automotive or heavy‑duty suspension design, development, or integration is strongly preferred, as you’ll be driving innovation in ride performance, durability, and vehicle stability across our product portfolio.

As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will:

• Lead multiple engineering projects from initial concept through design, validation, manufacturing, and market launch.
• Own the technical output
  , ensuring designs meet performance, cost, weight, safety, manufacturability, and aesthetic requirements.
• Develop schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation
  , ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Drive innovation through sound engineering practices including design calculations, FEA, tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, and design validation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Service, Quality, and Test Lab teams.
• Champion engineering documentation including ECNs, BOMs, drawings, tooling requests, and material specifications.
• Support customers (internal & external) by troubleshooting issues and delivering technical expertise.
• Identify and manage project risk
  , ensuring thorough mitigation plans are in place.
• Contribute to IP development by documenting innovations and partnering with legal teams on patent processes.
• Prepare and deliver professional presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.

This role is essential to ensuring our products meet the highest standards and continue to strengthen SAF-Holland's market leadership.

• 5–8 years of experience in product design, development, or project engineering.
• Demonstrated success bringing multiple products to market
  .
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  : statics, dynamics, strength of materials, physics, kinematics, etc.
• Experience with manufacturing processes
  , solid modeling, tooling, and production methods.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
• Progress toward PMP certification preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license where required by local regulation.
