Engineering Co-Op IN MUSKEGON, MI

Position Summary

Innotec NA is seeking a motivated Engineering Co‑op to support our automotive engineering team. This role provides hands‑on exposure to real‑world engineering projects, including product feasibility studies, technical calculations, process analysis, testing & validation, and engineering documentation. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a technical degree who are eager to apply classroom knowledge in a fast‑paced automotive manufacturing environment while gaining practical experience alongside cross‑functional teams.

Essential

Functions
  • Support engineering teams with product feasibility studies and technical evaluations
  • Read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications
  • Receive product‑specific technical training to assist with engineering calculations related to product design, process speeds, and performance metrics
  • Create and maintain product and process matrices
  • Participate in testing and validation activities
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Production, Quality, and Process Engineering
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Gain hands‑on experience through onboarding and shop floor training
Requirements Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD)
  • Understanding of technical drawings and product design fundamentals
  • Proficiency in English
