PLC Programmer | Muskegon, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Designs, programs, and tests PLC logic for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Develops and maintains HMI applications for machine control and data visualization.
- Collaborates with engineers and production staff to define system requirements and implement solutions.
- Performs routine maintenance, upgrades, and modifications to existing PLC programs.
- Ensures all programming adheres to safety standards, industry best practices, and company guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and HMI/SCADA development.
- Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and other PLC programming languages.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Experience with SCADA and HMI development
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for data analysis or interface development
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols beyond standard PLC I/O (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems
- Experience with robotic integration and programming
