IATF Quality Engineer | Muskegon, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
• Lead and participate in internal and external IATF 16949 audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Facilitate APQP activities, including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and launch processes.
• Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and relevant industry standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
• Strong knowledge of core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Certified Internal Auditor for IATF 16949 is highly preferred.
