Job DescriptionSpring 2027 Semester Engineering Student Co-Op opening (paid, with housing stipend). Search for an Engineering student for our plant in Muskegon, Michigan.
A minimum of a 3-month assignment. Part-time employment (20+hrs/week) for 6 months also qualifies.
Engineering Co-Op SummarySupport Engineering team to assist in projects, planned outages and mechanical equipment opportunities.
Essential Functions- Assist in developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance or continuous improvement programs to support equipment availability and throughput.
- Provide support for equipment failures and loss of production.
- Assist in analyzing production delay data to establish and document or modify preventive maintenance tasks.
- Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
- Assist with Project Engineering duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work with engineer(s) to prepare, coordinate and maintain schedules for extended production outages and major maintenance work.
- Work with maintenance craftsmen and operations to meet department goals.
- Competencies: Basic knowledge of engineering, interpersonal skills, computer skills.
- Education and Experience: Enrolled and completed 2+ years at an accredited university in Engineering or similar discipline.

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to company values, change management, organizational development, computer proficiency in Windows environment and relevant software tools.
