The LEAN Coordinator is a strategic change agent responsible for deploying, sustaining, and advancing LEAN manufacturing principles across SCHERDEL Sales & Technology. This role partners cross-functionally to drive operational excellence, eliminate waste, standardize work, and strengthen a culture of continuous improvement aligned with SCHERDEL supplier expectations. The position balances hands-on floor engagement with data-driven analysis to deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
Responsibilities- Lead Kaizen events and drive measurable operational improvements.
- Apply LEAN tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a LEAN, continuous improvement, or manufacturing excellence role within automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience leading Kaizen events and driving measurable operational improvements.
- Strong working knowledge of LEAN tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- LEAN certification (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with stamping, forming, assembly, or automated manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to IATF 16949 and customer audit environments.

- Sales strategy & Business Development
- Drive acquisition of new business within automotive and emerging e-mobility markets.
- Develop and execute customer engagement strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Collaborate with Global Key Account Managers to align messaging, capabilities, and targets.
- Customer & Technical Interface
- Build and maintain strong relationships across engineering, purchasing, and program management functions.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison translating customer requirements into commercial solutions.
- Support product development including design validation, FMEA, and simultaneous engineering.
- Program & Project Management
- Manage design confirmation and development phases of customer programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
- Ensure alignment with customer and internal quality and environmental systems.
- Operational Alignment
- Partner with headquarters and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and execution.
- Support plant integration in Mexico and global collaboration with German headquarters.
- Marketing Alignment
- Establish SCHERDEL WIESAUPLAST as a technical leader in plastics and multi-material solutions.
- Ability to multitask; promote innovation including over-molding and hybrid technologies.
