Position: Spring 2027 Engineering Student Co-Op opening

Job Description

Spring 2027 Semester Engineering Student Co-Op opening (paid, with housing stipend) - Searching for an Engineering student for our plant in Muskegon, Michigan. A minimum of a 3-month assignment. Part-time employment (20+ hrs/week) for 6 months also qualifies.

Engineering Co-Op Summary

Support Engineering team to assist in projects, planned outages and mechanical equipment opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance or continuous improvement programs to support equipment availability and throughput.
  • Provide support for equipment failures and loss of production.
  • Assist in analyzing production delay data for establishing and documenting or modifying preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and better working relationships.
  • Assist with Project Engineering duties.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Work with engineer(s) to prepare, coordinate and maintain schedules for extended production outages and major maintenance work.
  • Work with maintenance craftsmen and operations to meet department goals.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of engineering.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Enrolled and completed 2+ years accredited university in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to company values.

  • Organizational development.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.
