Emergency Management Coordinator

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of emergency management and healthcare preparedness programs across hospitals, physician practices, and affiliated facilities
• Coordinate emergency planning, regulatory readiness, training and exercises, response and recovery, program development, and stakeholder engagement
• Work collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders, community partners, and regional and system emergency management teams
• Enhance organizational resilience, continuity of operations, and emergency preparedness across the organization
• Coordinate and implement the Trinity Health Muskegon Emergency Preparedness Program
• Maintain the Emergency Operation Plan (EOP), Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA), Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and related preparedness policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Ensure the EOP and relevant preparedness materials are reported to and reviewed annually by Emergency Preparedness leadership, the Environment of Care Safety Committee, and other appropriate leadership
• Participate in local, regional, and state Emergency Preparedness committees, coalitions, and activities, including the Region 6 Healthcare Coalition
• Develop and prepare documentation for education, exercises, equipment, and grants requirements
• Organize, coordinate, and implement preparedness exercises and drills
• Use FEMA guidelines, templates, and tools to plan, conduct, evaluate, and document drills and exercises for process improvement

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Public Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Valid State of Michigan Driver's license
• Three years of experience in disaster and emergency planning, preferred
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing emergency management
• Knowledge of emergency and/or disaster planning principles and practices
• Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
• Skill in managing and coordinating disaster recovery operations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to analyze information under emergency operating conditions and direct the course of action to be taken

Demonstrates expertise in emergency management and healthcare preparedness, including the development and implementation of emergency plans, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Proficient in coordinating disaster recovery operations and enhancing organizational resilience through effective training and exercises.
