Provides consistent leadership on the units and supports patient-focused collaborative care in a shared governance environment. Responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and integrating the optimal provision of cost-effective services on the units. Responsibilities include providing clinical expertise, customer service, and service recovery techniques. Full management responsibilities encompass planning human resource management, financial accountability, quality assessment and improvements, including regulatory compliance. This position requires 24/7 accountability to the units.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent work experience.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan.
• Two years experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership, preferably with concurrent work experience in an appropriate specialty area.
• Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse job description.
• Ongoing continuing education required; national certification preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital and department policies and procedures, ancillary department service requisition methods, and the medical staff, typically acquired through 1-3 months of orientation.
• Must maintain current nursing knowledge, BLS certification, and required CEUs for relic ensure.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission, and vision of MHP.

This position is an OB/Peds Manager with at least 2 years of experience and a BSN. Ideal candidates have experience in postpartum or mother-baby specialties, with leadership and critical thinking skills.

Experience in healthcare organizations, preferably in mother-baby, pediatric, or postpartum areas.
