The Rehabilitation Technician supports therapists and providers under the supervision of Site Leadership by assisting with patient care and clinical operations at our Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.

Position

Purpose:

The Rehabilitation Techis responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, obtainment of supplies, transporting, positioning and inassistingpatients/clients,therapists and therapist assistants in the completion of the therapy treatment plan. The Rehab Techmay  also be assigned routine clerical support tasks in support of the patient care process.

What the Rehab Tech Will Do:

• Reviews the chart ofclinicpatients to ensure all testing/correspondence is included and enters information to be part of the patient’s medical record (EMR/paper) as appropriate.
  
  Completes forms needed for appointments and beginsand retrieves information in preparation for upcoming visits.

• Readies patient rooms for visit, setting up necessary equipment, instruments,and supplies.

• Rooms patients with friendly greetings,utilizingAIDET and 2 patient identifiers, prepares them for visit; coordinatespatientflow into exam rooms in preparation for the visit, gathers and documents pertinent data frompatientsand enters information into the medical record.
  
  This may include vitals.

• Collaborates with clinic staff andassistswiththe safe transporting andtransferringofpatients.

• Contributes to complete andaccuratepatient records performed under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician.

• Completes and records vitals andL-Dex Lymphedema Test (Lymphedema Clinic) for patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Must complete assigned foundational courses in medical terminology, bodystructureand directional terminology within
  30 daysof hireor have certification equivalent.

• American Heart AssociationBLSCertification or equivalent
