Job Description
The Muskegon Toolmaker, using CAD models, manufactures fixture and gage details and assembles components to complete functional assembly within allowable tolerances, within expected time frame and within forecast costs. They are also expected to make necessary fixture and gage repairs to keep job running while producing parts that meet the blueprint.
- Ability to use NC WEDM and VMC machines as well as traditional tool making equipment such as knee-mills and surface grinders to manufacture and repair fixtures and gauges.
- Ability to use CAM and CAD software.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
Qualifications / Requirements- Journeyman Apprenticeship Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shiftA minimum of 12 months’ experience building aerospace tooling
- Must supply their own hand tools
