Accept assignments to a variety of melt shop jobs (after extensive on-the-job-training) and perform melt jobs on a primary or secondary basis including:
Furnace and melting operations, AOD, Concast, Gates, Crane, Shearline and Inspection, and Refractory;
Maintain and service department equipment as required for the job assignment;
Observe all job safety practices, manufacturing and technical work instructions;
Make data entries into computer database and maintain other records and reports as required;
Maintain good housekeeping of the department
