Opportunity
Spring 2027 Semester Production Student Co-Op opening (paid, with housing stipend) for our plant in Muskegon, Michigan. A minimum of a 3-month assignment is required. Part-time employment (20+ hrs/week) for 6 months also qualifies.
Responsibilities- Support the production team with meeting expected production schedules and material quality while controlling plant costs.
- Relate effectively to all personnel (hourly and salaried) to promote cooperative, interactive working relationships.
- Assist in training initiatives (safety, quality, and operation) for hourly production employees.
- Promote proper housekeeping and ensure work areas are clean, maintained, and safe at all times.
- Make necessary production system transactions.
- Track and support cost reduction efforts.
- Analyze production data to establish and document tasks.
- Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and better working relationships.
- Assist with Production Operation department duties and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work with the Production team to prepare, coordinate and maintain production schedules.
- Collaborate with operations to meet department goals.
- Competencies:
Interpersonal skills;
Computer skills. - Education and Experience:
Enrolled and completed 2+ years at an accredited university in a related field of study (e.g., Business, Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Management). - Special
Skills:
Ability to organize and support multiple priorities; problem analysis and resolution; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to company values; change management; computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.
Relocation is authorized for this position.
