Salary Range: $58,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking CNC Swiss Lathe Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes for production.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Load raw materials and parts into machines and ensure proper fixturing.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools
• Experience with tool offsets and adjustments

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., Part Maker, Esprit) for programming and simulation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
