Machine Operator

Description

Machine Operator team members are expected to run their machine safely, effectively, and efficiently. They are responsible for assisting in machine setups and changes while also assisting in the assembly of all kayaks and boats as production demands.

• Ability to operate and maintain machinery to produce to production standards/run rates
• Ability to maintain low to none scrap rate
• Ability to make machine adjustments to maintain proper parameters and efficiency
• Maintain operating records and reports
• Ability to assemble components accurately, thoroughly and within production process standards
• Assists with stocking line at start and end of shift
• Ability to package kayaks and prepare for shipments
• Ability to maintain and achieve production demand
• Ability to train and communicate effectively with new team members
• Takes initiative to ask for additional training or direction when unsure of tasks
• Communicates any line issues immediately to supervisor
• Maintain a clean work area throughout shift and verifies housekeeping after every shift
• Ability to use power tools
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in hot environment
• Follows all company production and safety policies
