JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bespoke Assembly position is responsible for the custom assembly, finishing, and preparation of made-to-order woodworking products. This role ensures that all bespoke items meet exact design specifications, craftsmanship standards, and quality expectations prior to shipment or installation, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and product excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble custom woodworking products according to detailed work orders, drawings, and specifications.
  • Interpret shop drawings, measurements, and instructions to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Fit, fasten, glue, clamp, and finish wood components using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Perform sanding, minor finishing, touch-ups, and detailing to meet bespoke quality standards.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, fit, finish, and functionality prior to packaging or installation.
  • Prepare completed products for shipment by safely packaging, labeling, and protecting finished surfaces.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with woodworkers, finishers, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to work orders, materials, and production progress.
  • Identify and communicate issues with materials, design specifications, or equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and craftsmanship development initiatives.
  • Assist in training team members on assembly techniques and quality expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/lead.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Identify and report quality, material, or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
