Registered Nurse​/HealthWest

A Registered Nurse/Health West, under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional nursing duties in various Health West locations in Muskegon County. An employee in this class is responsible for storage, administration, and monitoring of medications prescribed for individuals receiving services as well as for the administration of medical treatment to these individuals as authorized by a physician. An employee in this class performs other related duties as required.

A Registered Nurse/Health West performs generally sedentary work activities requiring the lifting of objects weighing thirty-five (35) pounds or less; however, must be able to perform physical intervention activities as required.

An employee in this class works at various Health West program locations with travel throughout the County required.

The purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification in the County system. For each opening, the Department Head has her/his choice of the candidates who meet the required minimum entrance qualifications. This list remains in effect for three months unless exhausted or extended.
