Center Medical Specialist

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for one of our Plasma Donation Centers. This role focuses on ensuring donor health and safety while providing excellent customer service. Salary is based on licensure and experience.

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and provide counseling for unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Conduct evaluations of any illness history or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training.
• Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccination program.

• Certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum experience suitable for a plasma donation center.

• Work performed both standing and sitting for up to 2‑4 hours per day.
• Requires bending and twisting of neck up to 2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movements with precise coordinated use of fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Ability to stand on heels, squat or crouch occasionally.
• Light lifting of up to 15 lbs, maximum 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity essential.
• Color perception, near vision and far vision correctable (20/30 one eye to 20/100 other).
• Clear communication and ability to listen.
• Works independently and with guidance from oral or written instructions.
• Can adapt to variable demands and changing conditions.
• Manages sensitive information for diverse groups.
• Exposed to biological fluids, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold (below 32 °F).
• Personal protective equipment required.
