Position: Nurse Manager - Assisted Living (The Oaks)

AL Nurse Manager - The Oaks

The Oaks Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Nurse Manager to oversee and coordinate the delivery of healthcare services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead nursing and caregiving staff, ensuring high‑quality care in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Manage medication administration, documentation, and resident medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare standards, licensing, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide leadership during crises.
  • Monitor infection control practices and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Participate in resident admissions and discharges, including initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents and families regarding care needs and updates.
  • Support a culture of respect, dignity, and resident‑centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Current and active LPN license in the State of Michigan.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role in senior care or assisted living.
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on‑call as needed.
