Responsibilities:

• Med Surg RNs provide bedside care for a variety of patients and execute individualized patient assessments to create an individualized plan of care.
• Med Surg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
• Med Surg RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications; initiating alternative action when adverse symptomology is displayed; changing dressings, inserting catheters, starting IVs when necessary.
