Our client, an established manufacturing company in Norton Shores, MI
, is seeking a hands-on Quality Lead to take ownership of day-to-day quality activities while supporting the continued growth of the operation.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being directly involved in quality rather than sitting behind a desk. The Quality Lead will perform inspections, work with measurement and CMM equipment, oversee calibration activities, maintain quality documentation, and help improve inspection processes. You'll also provide guidance to other quality personnel and work closely with production leadership to resolve quality concerns
.

Responsibilit
- iesLead day-to-day quality and inspection activities within the manufacturing operati
- on.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections of in-process and completed par - ts.
Operate CMM and other inspection and measurement equipme - nt.
Manage gauge and equipment calibration activiti - es.
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentati - on.
Develop and improve in-process inspection checklists and work instructio - ns.
Provide guidance and support to other quality personn - el.
Work closely with production employees and leadership to identify and resolve quality concer - ns.
Assist with quality system and compliance require men - ts.
Investigate quality issues and support corrective actio - ns.
Ensure products meet applicable specifications and customer require men - ts.
Take ownership of quality issues from identification through resoluti - on.
Develop into a more customer-facing quality resource as need
Qualificat
- ions2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environm

Experience with gauges, measurement equipment, and calibrat - ion.
Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications tolerances, and inspection requireme - nts.
Strong understanding of precision measurement and inspection practi
