Mac Queen is looking for an Emergency Vehicle Installation Technician
.
This isn't production line work.
Required Qualifications- Has 2+ years of experience in electrical wiring, vehicle electronics, installations, or an automotive technician role.
- Knows their way around low‑voltage systems, 12
VDC/110
VAC wiring, and control systems. - Takes pride in clean work and attention to detail.
- Can read technical documents and schematics without breaking into a cold sweat.
- Has experience soldering and crimping secure electrical connections.
- Is comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Solves problems, stays organized, and adapts when priorities change.
- Communicates effectively and takes ownership of their work.
- Understands that when something isn't installed correctly, the stakes are higher than a check‑engine light.
- Lights & sirens
- Radios & communications equipment
- Push bumpers
- Partitions & storage systems
- Other mission‑critical equipment used by law enforcement and public safety professionals
The finished product doesn't sit in a parking lot. It goes into service.

CompensationThe expected starting pay range for this position is $20–$26 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
ADA Requirements- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally.
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals that may require respiratory protection.
