Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time or part-time position that works on average 32-40 hours a week or less than 30 hours. Overtime may be required. Days and hours for this position may vary, based on the needs of the home. Schedule may vary based on agency needs at the discretion of the direct supervisor and/or CEO.

Please note:

We are specifically looking for very part-time staff at this time. Please apply if you are willing to work 3rd shifts only on the weekend, some of them being sleep shifts paying $13.73/hour.

Summary:

The Residential Support Staff assumes responsibility for providing support, care, treatment, and development of residents in a variety of settings, including licensed adult foster care group homes (general or specialized), transitional training residence and housing for semi-independent living.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of this position include:

Persons Served
  • Ensure that residents are granted all rights and respect due them.
  • Help the residents create and maintain a comfortable, homelike environment.
  • Assist residents as needed in meeting their goals as outlined through the individual plan of service, including assistance with:
    • Social skills and community integration opportunities.
    • Grooming and hygiene needs, including bathing, toileting and dressing.
    • Daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
    • Accompany residents to appointments, skill building or community integration programs, and various activities as assigned.
    • Administration of medications and treatments.
    • Food preparation per individualized dietary needs.
Household and Documentation Requirements:
  • Performing a variety of housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
  • Documentation on a variety of both paper and electronic forms, including medication and treatment administration sheets, daily logs, program data, progress notes, incident reports, and vehicle pre-trip logs.
