Our client, an industry leader in warehouse and logistics services, is seeking a 1st Shift
- Material Handler to join their team. As a 1st Shift
- Material Handler, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting inventory management and product distribution. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:
Norton Shores, MI
Pay Range: $19.05
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
What's the Job?
- Operate powered equipment to move, locate, and stack products efficiently and safely.
- Check inbound and outbound products for damage, infestation, and proper labeling.
- Ensure products match customer requirements and are correctly recorded with product code dates.
- Load products onto pallets or totes, and prepare shipments or stock as needed.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and assist with physical inventories.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification or completion of a forklift training program within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to physically load and unload products, lifting up to 100 lbs as required.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems and product handling.
