Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Position: Project Engineer I
** Position Summary*
* This position is responsible for supporting the project team on smaller, less complex projects. The role assists a project manager or managers to successfully coordinate a project using the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services.

** Position Details*
* + Maximize project team's effectiveness and efficiency by utilizing own organizational skills to provide basic project support to senior project management staff.

+ Supports the project construction team as needed.

+ Estimates the impact of project changes.

+ Manages change orders.

+ Assembles submittal packages and other required project documentation.

+ Assists with procurement of equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other project related services.

+ Analyzes and resolves basic construction related questions and issues.

** Qualifications*
* + Four-year degree in related field, or applicable experience.

+ Up to 3 years' experience.

+ Basic knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, controls, generation, and water systems.

+ Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.

+ Ability to read design drawings and keep track of work progress.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel and Microsoft Projects.
