Exciting opportunities await passionate Special Education Teachers ready to make a difference in the upcoming 26/27 school year! This rewarding contract position works with elementary students (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) in a supportive, resource-rich environment. Step into a mild to moderate resource classroom, where you'll provide targeted instruction and interventions for a diverse caseload of approximately 20 students. Students rotate in and out for direct instruction, creating an engaging and dynamic daily experience.
This full-time contract runs from August 13, 2026, through May 20, 2027, and offers a consistent 35-hour workweek. You'll be instrumental in shaping young learners' educational journeys, collaborating with supportive colleagues and building strong relationships with students and families.
What We're Looking For:- Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification
- Endorsement in Mild to Moderate Special Needs
- Previous experience with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and individualized education plans
- Provide specialized academic instruction to students in a mild to moderate resource classroom setting
- Maintain and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress and maintain accurate documentation
