DescriptionMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Master's degree in counseling psychology or related field and licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LBP, or LADC-MH licensure valid in the State of Oklahoma is required.
Licenses &
Certifications:
LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LBP, or LADC-MH licensure valid in the state of Oklahoma is required.
Knowledge &
Skills:
- A broad-based quality range of knowledge acquired through professional experience in the field of counseling.
- Proven skill and ability in the areas of treatment, prevention, assessment, diagnostics and consultation.
- Ability to follow BHS guidelines and established Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health (MCNDH) policies and procedures.
- Ability to courteously and effectively communicate with patients and their families, MCNDH staff, outside agencies and the general public both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of psychotherapeutic/behavioral intervention techniques.
- Clinical understanding and experience utilizing a specialized modality of treatment with a specific patient population.
Certifications are not mandatory but are encouraged. Certifications signify knowledge learned but does not signify mastery.
Job SummaryThe purpose of this position is to perform the duties of a Therapist and Human Services Professional for the Behavioral Health Services Program or Grant. Incumbent provides services within the designated service area of the Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health.
Physical DemandsThe position requires demands of normal office work, possible travel between clinics driving a GSA, potentially high stress situations and conditions, and possible exposure to dangerous individuals.
Work EnvironmentWork is performed within the specified Health Care Clinics and other facilities operated by the MCNDH. Incumbent could be subjected to the risk of exposure to hostile and emotionally disturbed patients, families and visitors. There is moderate risk of exposure to contagious disease.
