As Library Manager, you will not just manage operations; you will champion the library's next chapter by leading the bold "Imagine More" campaign. This effort aims to reimagine our library as a vibrant destination for learning, creativity, culture, and community for generations to come.

In this role, you will provide leadership for a library serving a diverse and growing community. As the library's chief officer, you will inspire employees to embrace innovation, deliver exceptional patron experiences, and build a workplace where people are empowered to grow and excel. Through visionary leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will reimagine library spaces, expand services, and ensure Muskogee Public Library remains an essential resource that enriches the lives of everyone it serves.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to foster a positive, professional, and productive work environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patrons, staff, and partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing community needs.

Education And Experience

• Master of Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible library experience, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Level VI Oklahoma Public Librarian Certification (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe).

Standard

Schedule:

40 hrs. per week; includes some evenings and Saturdays.

Branch Manager II:
Beginning salary $61,152.00

Branch Manager III:
Beginning salary $68,370.00
