Quality Engineer – Data Center Construction
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support large-scale data center construction projects by ensuring all work is executed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. This individual will play a key role in driving quality compliance, managing project documentation, and partnering with field teams to resolve issues throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and manage quality documentation, inspection records, and project deliverables throughout all phases of construction.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and quality standards to verify field installation work meets design intent and client expectations.
- Monitor quality metrics and KPIs, identify trends, and recommend corrective or preventive actions to improve project performance.
- Ensure compliance with owner, client, and project-specific quality requirements, reporting processes, and documentation standards.
- Review and validate TSQMP deliverables and quality documentation across multiple trades, including mechanical, electrical, and civil scopes.
- Perform audits within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and support project teams in maintaining accurate and complete quality records.
- Lead nonconformance investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to proactively identify and resolve quality concerns.
- Assist with project turnover documentation, punch list management, and final quality closeout activities.
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Construction Quality Management.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, inspection processes, and quality management systems.
- Experience performing audits, conducting root cause analyses, and managing corrective action programs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across field and office teams.
- Knowledge of commissioning, turnover documentation, and construction quality best practices is a plus.
$40/hr to $55/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
