Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate
Compensation$14.00 to $15.00 per hour, with commission potentials up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.92 per hour on top of the hourly rate.
Position SummaryWe are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport to better provide and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of the pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

- Best working hours: most stores open 9AM to 6PM; many closed on Sundays.

- Ability to earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate.
- Vacation: one week paid after six months, additional week after one year, two weeks each anniversary thereafter, up to 120 hours after five years.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on their gross profit performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
Additional InformationPayrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.
