Lead Technician (Structured Cabling) – Muskogee, OK

Pay: $34.00–$37.00/hour

Schedule: First shift, Monday–Friday (10–12 hour days) — must be prepared to work Saturdays as needed

Travel: Open to occasional travel depending on project needs

Overview

We’re hiring Lead Technicians to support structured cabling projects in Muskogee, OK. This role is hands‑on and leadership‑focused, responsible for installing and validating structured cabling systems while proactively leading small teams on active job sites. Safety and professionalism are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safe work practices and adhere to site policies and procedures
  • Install structured cabling systems and complete all aspects of the installation process
  • Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
  • Set up and operate copper and fiber testers; perform testing, troubleshooting, and system validation
  • Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber and copper installations
  • Lead teams of 3–5 Technicians/Installers to complete project tasks on time
  • Train and develop Technicians/Installers, including helping prepare future Lead Technicians
  • Maintain jobsite organization and basic housekeeping standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with internal teams and customers
  • Use computers and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) for documentation and coordination
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • OSHA 10 required before starting.
  • OSHA 30 (must have / required; OSHA 30 expected within first 2 weeks in role)
  • 2–5+ years of structured cabling or related construction/industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, including:
  • pathways/spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper/fiber, cross/inter-connections, and testing
  • applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices (and ability to differentiate and recommend)
  • Ability to select the correct tools/methods for tasks and help others do the same
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends based on project requirements
  • Proactive, accountable, and efficient with time management on job sites
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team‑first mindset
Preferred Certifications (not required)
  • BICSI Certified Technician (must be earned within 12 months in role)
