Position OverviewFlynn Arby's is seeking a Service Technician – Level 1 to support restaurant locations throughout the region. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of restaurant facilities and equipment, including HVAC/R systems, cooking equipment, refrigeration units, lighting, warming cabinets, and other building systems. The role will also perform minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs as needed.
This is a field-based position requiring 100% travel within the assigned region
. Candidates must also be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on restaurant accessibility and business needs.
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer, warranty, and industry standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems, cooking equipment, refrigeration units, lighting, warming cabinets, and other restaurant equipment.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and general construction repairs.
- Communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and restaurant management regarding service needs and repair status.
- Inspect equipment and determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of completed work.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
- HVAC certification with 5+ years of related experience
. - EPA Certification required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Working knowledge of basic tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair restaurant facility and equipment issues.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a DOT drug screen, fit-for-duty physical, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record review, as permitted by applicable law.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
- Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency service needs when required.
This position requires the ability to:
- Bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Lift and carry 50+ pounds
. - Climb ladders and safely perform rooftop work.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
- Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
