Journeyman Electrician

Industrial Journeyman Electrician Pay:

Location:

Muskogee We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join a growing team supporting the operation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure in a high-availability industrial environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems while ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed electrician looking to work in a technically advanced facility where safety, reliability, and quality are top priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, lighting systems, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, lighting, battery backup systems, and related equipment.
  • Conduct battery maintenance and inverter testing on emergency lighting systems.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and perform corrective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs.
  • Install conduit, wiring, panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Test electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Support equipment rack moves, deployments, decommissioning projects, and facility modifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility security gates and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with scheduling maintenance activities and coordinating material and parts requirements.
  • Maintain spill prevention kits and support generator and substation maintenance activities.
  • Respond to high-priority maintenance issues while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable electrical codes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Formal vocational or technical training in the electrical trade required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible electrical experience.
  • Current Unlimited Electrical License or Electrical Contractor's License required.
  • Experience as an outside lineman, inside wireman, installer technician, journeyman electrician, or master electrician preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and email for daily communication.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
  • Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, ladders, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Prior military or technical school training is a plus.

Work Environment

Full-time, on-site position. Work is performed in industrial, maintenance, shop, office, and critical facility environments. Frequent exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Must be comfortable working around energized electrical equipment while following all safety protocols. Occasional travel between facilities may be required.

Physical Requirements

Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and use hands to operate tools and equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on ladders, scissor lifts, and other elevated work platforms. Schedule This position supports a 24/7/365 operation, and flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency call-outs may be required.
