With five retail locations in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri, a Nationwide Education and Events Sales Division, and our E‑Commerce Divisions, we continue to experience healthy growth and financial stability.
Our Distribution Center and Administration Offices, based in Oklahoma, provide sales support and infrastructure to enable our company to be prepared for future growth and expansion.
The Receiving Associate position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products, verifying and keeping records of incoming/outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing outlined duties. The successful candidate must be energetic, detail oriented and eager to learn.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weight, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records.
- Assemble cardboard containers or select preassembled containers, insert items into containers, and affix shipping labels on packed containers.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Locate products using technology.
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size, etc., ensuring accuracy.
- Store and stock items, as appropriate.
- Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks.
- Wrap orders before loading trucks.
- Operate forklift or use pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving to storage or work areas.
- Restock inventory manually or with warehouse equipment.
- Assist with setup and teardown of events, as needed.
- Keep records of completed orders.
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
- Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
1 Year Of Experience Preferred
Skills and Requirements- Ability to learn and apply new skills, requiring minimal supervision.
- Experience in handling pallets, jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Proven experience as an order picker or another warehouse position.
- Great attention to detail.
- Diligent and punctual.
- Ability to follow instructions, respond to management directly, and take responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Familiarity with computer skills; willingness to learn Point of Sale Inventory Functions.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and must constantly reach with hands and fingers; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to sit, speak, or listen.
The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The team member is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The team member is occasionally exposed to heights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
