Project Manager, Construction Manager​/ Foreman

KPB Construction is hiring a Project Manager — Charleston, SC

KPB Construction is a residential remodeling and general contracting company with 12 years in business, 6 of them here in the Charleston market, working across the metro area and the barrier islands. We run on a cost-plus model with an in-house multi-trade crew and a long-tenured subcontractor network — no bid-market grind, just quality-driven projects for clients who value the work.

We're adding a Project Manager to our team.

• 3–5 concurrent projects from estimate handoff through closeout
• Scheduling, budget tracking, and change order management
• Direction of in-house crews and coordination with our trade partners
• Quality control, code compliance, and jobsite documentation
• Punch lists and closeout through final walkthrough

• 5+ years running residential remodel/renovation projects as a PM — or strong experience as an APM or superintendent ready to step up
• Solid trade knowledge across framing, rough‑ins, waterproofing, and finishes — enough to sequence work and catch a problem before it’s covered up
• Strong documentation habits and clear, professional written communication
• The ability to prioritize across multiple jobs independently, without needing daily direction

• Experience with coastal/high‑wind zone construction
• Familiarity with Charleston's historic district (BAR) process
• Contractor Foreman, Buildertrend, or similar PM software experience

• Real decision‑making authority — every KPB PM works from a written role charter with defined spending, change order, and scheduling authority. This isn’t a company where you wait on the owner for every call.
• An established operation — long‑tenured trade partners, in‑house crew, and systems already in place
• Company vehicle or allowance, fuel, and phone
• Compensation commensurate with experience
• Room to grow as KPB continues to scale
