Diamond Peak Recruiting, on behalf of a leading general contractor, seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Traveling Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast. This role is ideal for a superintendent with extensive fuel center construction experience, including projects for major retail and grocery clients. Responsibilities- Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Oversee multiple phases of ground-up fuel center construction, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate daily jobsite operations while maintaining high standards of safety and quality control.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and communicate progress with Project Managers and clients.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors throughout the construction process.
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience building fuel centers for commercial, grocery, retail, or similar clients.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects with budgets of $5M+.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the Southeast for project assignments.
- Preferred home base in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or Georgia.
