Job Summary – The School of Information Science invites applications for a full‑time professional‑track faculty position (Teaching Assistant Professor or Instructor, depending on qualifications) to begin August 16, 2026.
The successful candidate will teach courses in user experience research and design; social and ethical dimensions of AI and data analytics; cybersecurity; information integrity and media literacy; and the role of data and information in policy, organizations, and society. Courses may be delivered face‑to‑face, online, or hybrid.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses (with opportunities to teach at graduate level). Courses may be delivered in face‑to‑face, online, or hybrid formats.
- Participate in shared governance and service activities.
Education and Experience
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Information Science or a closely related field by the start date.
- Minimum of two years of professional or academic experience in a related area such as information integrity, user experience research/design, data ethics and policy, organizational communication, or the social impacts of AI and cybersecurity.
- Teaching experience, though not required.
