African American Studies Adjunct Faculty

These postings are continuous to build a qualified pool of candidates. If your academic area matches the programmatic needs of USCB at any time, you will be contacted by the Department Chair to discuss teaching opportunities. Needs change semester to semester.

Responsibilities
  • Teach selected undergraduate courses in African American History on a course‑by‑course basis.
  • Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, and assess student performance.
  • Collaborate with faculty to support program goals.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (M.S.) in History, Political Science, Government & Politics, Sociology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 18 graduate credit hours in African American Studies or related fields.
  • Prior college‑level teaching experience preferred.
  • Resume/CV and cover letter addressing teaching philosophy required.
