The Career Technical Education (CTE) Business Teacher will design and deliver specialized instruction in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, technology, and multimedia. The CTE Teacher will guide students in developing marketable technical, academic, and soft skills to prepare for education, industry certification, or the workforce. This role includes providing a personalized instructional program with learning activities and experiences aligned to core academic standards, supporting students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
The teacher will also help students meet diploma requirements and implement their post-secondary transition plan. This position reports to the Principal or their designee.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Valid South Carolina Standard Teaching Certification in Business/Marketing/Technology CTE or,
- CTE work-based certification program or,
- Enrolled in a State approved educator preparation program with student teaching or,
- Eligible to apply for a South Carolina Career Technical Education Certificate.
- Experience in a related business field.
- Proficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications.
- Ability to travel in the performance of job duties are required.
