This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to use your expertise in special education while working within a supportive educational environment. The position is based at a junior/senior high school, where you'll work closely with students, families, and a collaborative team to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance requirements
• Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in the resource room to middle school students
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district policies
• Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development activities
• Foster a safe, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
